Apple handling of pairing with its team is fantastic, and every time the optical sensors detect that we have worn both headphones (or one), they are pair. We will hear a slight sound to alert us if there is a moment when you do not have both headphones on at the same time, no problem.
You need to set the second one so that without interruption, the system notices that it has been added and starts playing. With them inside, we open the case and press a little button on the back to start pairing. We tested different devices (an Alcatel OneTouch Idol, a Xiaomi Mi5, and a Galaxy S6 Edge). However, if, like me, you crave better isolation when listening to music or media, even at a considerable volume, you will be able to recognize the conversations around you.
The connectivity range of these Bluetooth headphones is decent, around 20-30 meters indoors, in our case, a few rooms—experience in using Airpods in multimedia tasks. We lost the volume control or the ability to move forward / backward in a playlist. Using Siri can help us, but we wanted something simpler.
Apple Airpods, Engadget’s Opinion
Suppose you play in the Apple ecosystem, with iPad, Mac, iPhone, and even Apple TV, the integration, Autonomy. And the comfortable Siri operation, hands-free, or seamless pairing far outweigh the decent sound quality.
Apple worked so hard on the technology inside their hearing aids that they forgot they just heard aids.
If you are on Android, you decide to get a sound charging system, comfort, and Autonomy. It remains to be sen if, for the 179 euros of Airpods. There are better wireless options on the market. If you don’t figure it out to your liking, you won’t regret it. However, the experience is far from what is achieve with an iPhone or an iPad.
